2. DRAWING AND BUILDING

Drawing in Anableps works by creating shapes and moving them to the desired places, inside a canvas. Shapes have properties like color, length, etc, that can be adjusted properly. Once the drawing is done, the canvas can be displayed or saved into a file, or any property of the layout (distances, areas) can be printed.

The other domain of Anableps is the creation of 3D-scenes. 3D scenes can be used to be displayed, but they can be used to other ends, like calculations or simulations (heat-transmission, fields. kinematics). Similarly some property (like distances, solid angles) can be displayed. This part covers, too, the basic of 3D-scene building, focusing on creating and displaying the results, and points to following chapters, where all the other aspects are covered in detail. 4d
